Animation is not the art of drawings that move but the art of movements that are drawn.

Step 1 - Character Design - Solid Drawing
Students will design a character using Solid Drawing to construct the character. The character will be drawn in Adobe Illustrator in the color Blue. Remember blue is the color that animators use in rough drafts. These lines are often found in the preliminary stages of drawing, and they will be replaced with permanent lines later in the design process.
Daily Grade #1
Once you have determined and drawn your character, export the image as a JPG and upload it to the Solid Drawing (Blue Character) Folder in Google Drive.

Step 2 - Character Design - Appeal
Students will amend their Solid Drawing Characters using Appeal to help make their characters unique. Remember Appela does not mean attractive, beautiful, or attractive. Appeal means interesting. Try making your characher with exaggerated features or body parts. Accentuate someof your characters features to get a unique look and style.
