staging |
Staging in Animation is concerned with the camera angles, shot selection, lighting design, and physical arrangement of the elements in the space. All of these things should complement the story and add a visual mood which supports the action which will be taking place.

Using the Camera
LESSON
Students will take a series of digital photographs demonstrating the following camera angles. This is a group project, students may work together as a team in order to realize one set of photographs which they will present to the class.
1-Birds eye
2-High shot
3-Medium shot
4-Low Shot
5-Worms eye
6-Oblique/Canted
Additionally students should pick one or two of their favorite camera angles and take several additional shots experimenting with different lighting set ups.
After each group has taken their photographs, a slideshow should be put together. The slideshow can be put together by whatever means necessary. It can be made in Google Slides, or it can be a folder with JPEGS that can be easily played. In either case, a presentation of the finished work should be presented to the class by each group.
