Straight ahead animation is the process of starting at the beginning of a scene, and working your way through to the end of the scene. Usually one animator would work in this method from the start to the end of the scene.

Straight ahead animation offers style and spontaneity to the animation, as opposed to Pose to Pose which is methodically planned out.
Creating Straight Ahead & Pose to Pose
You will create the animation cycle of a ball rolling into a wall
- Set up your timeline - (Make sure you timeline is set to 10FPS)
- Download the background below for the setting of your ball
- Download the PNG of the ball below
- We will animate this together
- It is important to save and save often. It is also important for me to see the process and layers you have put into your projects.
- Submit your .MP4 file to the Squash and Stretch folder in Google Drive
- Due at the end of the lesson

After students review model examples, students will then animate their on original Squash and Stretch cycle again incorporating the knowledge they have gained during all of the assessments and review of examples.
